Rebecca James is an artist and writer based in Warrnambool, Victoria. Rebecca attempts to capture the moments that make up a life. The first cup of tea of the day, the warmth of a wood fire on a cold day, conversations with friends, the beauty of a vase of flowers or a bowl of fruit. She paints with a sense of appreciation for the beauty and chaos of humanity. Her paintings encourage the viewer to pause for a moment and consider the wonder of the people and objects within, she invites us into the narrative of the painting, to interpret it through the lens of our own experiences.
