PENNY LOVELOCK
Penny Lovelock is a figurative and landscape artist who draws on her background in illustration, weaving an imagined narrative into her whimsical works. A recurring theme of animals, music, women and Mother Earth run through her quirky paintings. Penny frequently walks and cycles in the Budawangs and surrounds and paints and draws plein air. After losing her home in the Black Summer bushfires in 2019, she has used art as her therapy, producing many cathartic paintings which share her emotional response to the flora and fauna lost, her latest paintings are about regrowth and new beginnings, both for Penny and the landscape she loves. Penny loves working from her home studio in Lake Conjola, NSW.
