Gina Debinski
Gina Debinski grew up in Melbourne Australia. Her career began after completing a Bachelor of Education in Art and Craft with major studies in Textiles and Metalwork. With a strong interest in knitwear she began working as a design writer for Coats Patons, before being lured to New York and establishing herself as a knitwear designer. During this time Gina travelled regularly to Europe and The Orient. On her return to Australia she continued to design knitwear for the US market. Later, Gina explored her passion for painting but her love for fashion colour and design inspired to open her own retail store and gallery in Melbourne. In 2014 after a 10 year hiatus she returned to painting full time. Her works are a tapestry of her many and varied experiences and celebrate her observations of everyday life, events and people. Gina is particularly drawn to water and the joy of the Australian beach experience.
